Spring Hunting

Daddy went spring boating, and was out for a long cold night on the ice flow. The ice surrounded them in the night time, and they ended up staying in a lean-to in the cold wind, and huge waves. The crew consisted of grand dad, (captian) Dad, and uncle Mike. They had luck, and got one big bearded seal. Dad said I would have been too cold!

Mom, Dad, and I went down to camp to work on the meat, and played on the beach. The waves were rolling, and I got to play on the sand for the first time. Fun! I picked up a little stick, and ran around having a good time.

I got this photo one afternoon after Robert got out of his bath. He was laying in the sun warming up and drying off. Too cute.

Kawerak's Wellness Walk

Last weekend, on the 16th

of May, we took part in a walk that was coordinated by Kawerak's Wellness Program. The walk was organized to promote suicide awareness in our community. A walk took place in Kotzebue at the same time.

Little Robert wore his father's old parkie made by his great grandmother 30 years ago. He stayed warm, as there was a stiff breeze coming off of the ice from the Bering Sea.

Mom pulled Robert in a little red wagon.
